The acquisition of Sisal, now completed, is consistent with Flutter’s strategy of building market-leading positions in key global gaming markets with enticing growth prospects – the deal itself propels Flutter to a leadership position in the structurally attractive Italian online market. Further, it will have a transformational impact on the shape of its International business, with Italy now becoming the largest geography in that division (Sisal should deliver low-double-digit EBITDA growth in 2022). Importantly, that division is now increasingly weighted towards structurally growing markets (alongside other markets such as Canada, Brazil, India, Georgia and Armenia).
