Market comment - First tentative signs Irish house price inflation is starting to slow

Yesterday’s (May 16th) Residential Property Price Index (RPPI) showed a relatively sedate 0.6% gain in March, the slowest rise in 12 months, but with annual inflation still running at 15.2%. This is likely the peak for Irish RPPI inflation. Our recent MyHome report also pointed to signs that frothy double-digit RPPI inflation is starting to slow towards our forecast for a 7% rise through 2022.
