Tullow’s first well on the Orinduik licence offshore Guyana has made a substantial Tertiary discovery. The Jethro-1 well has a number of positive aspects – in particular, the thickness (scale) of the reservoir sands and the success of Tullow’s technical targeting of the play. This bodes well for the upcoming Joe well and the other Tertiary targets on the block. With a substantial equity stake in the block and the multiple target profile on the Orinduik and Kanuku blocks, the outcome should be seen as very positive for Tullow.
